Data Architect

  • Design, implement, and maintain the data architecture within the organisation by collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective data management, integration, and accessibility.
  • Drive datadriven decisionmaking and support the organisation's strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain the overall data architecture strategy and vision.
  • Design data models, databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to support various business needs.
  • Define and implement data integration, transformation, and migration strategies.
  • Establish data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.
  • Define and enforce data access controls and permissions.
  • Design and implement efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data ecosystem.
  • Identify opportunities for automating and optimizing data integration workflows.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to design and optimize data structures for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining data visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
  • Stay updated on emerging data technologies and trends, and evaluate their relevance to the organization.
  • Recommend and select appropriate tools, platforms, and frameworks for data management, storage, and processing.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their data requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders effectively.
  • Monitor and optimize data architecture performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Implement strategies to enhance data processing speed, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a track record of successful data architecture design and implementation.
  • Strong expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
  • Proficiency in data management tools, such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, data warehouses, ETL tools, etc.
  • Min 23 years' experience with
    data governance, data security, and compliance requirements.
  • Min 34 years' experience in
    designing and implementing big data and analytics platforms likeHadoop and Apache Spark.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data processing (e.g., SQL, Python, Java).
  • Familiarity with cloudbased data platforms and related services on AWS
