How you'll role

As a trainer you will be responsible for providing training to facilitators and educators within a cohort of schools, either through in person training or online training, according to specific training requirements. The role requires strong training, planning, coordinating, reporting and communication skills.

What you'll do

Facilitator Training

Train new facilitators within new and existing schools being launched to successfully performtheir facilitator role which largely entails the following dutiesworking with and supporting learners in their online journeyensuring learners get the most benefit from the programmes as per the company's requirementscompleting administrative worksupporting all ICT equipment for best functionalityUpskill new facilitatorsPerform ongoing training of existing schools' facilitators for upskilling within the facilitator roleConduct maintenance and refresher training of facilitators to continue effective facilitationImplement remediation training to support underperforming facilitatorsMonitor and drive facilitator completion of LMS modules and quizzes according to launch training requirementsDrive and collate training feedback after launchesMonitor and drive all training related quiz completions

Educator Training

Train educators within new schools being launched to ensure that a school's educators are:informed about the purpose of their school's relationship with the organisationintroduced to the online programmes that support what they teachenabled to understand how their learners will benefit from the online programmesguided to gain access to educator tools and content provided within the programmes to bolster their teachingencouraged to play an active role alongside the facilitator to ensure maximum learning benefit from online programmes for learnersinformed, understand and support the active time and usage requirements for the success of programmes and appreciate the consequences of a school underperforming,invested in the interventionConduct training of existing schools' educators when learner programmes are extended to higher gradesConduct training of new educators at existing schoolsImplement remedial training of educators where there is a lack of buy-in to support the intervention

Progress Checks

Conduct checks according to prescribed standards during growth prior to training and for existing schools during trainingReport findings after checks to relevant role playersResolve challenges, while completing checks, if within the training realm

General

Coordinate and provide ongoing training according to annual training plans and growth processesConduct training according to training requests made by facilitators, the Training Head, operational teams and managementMonitor training attendance of facilitators and make provision for non attendanceMonitor training records and edit data for accuracyProactively reflect on training content to ensure that it is up to date and accurateCollaborate to update or create training contentAttend upskilling sessions of training material that is newStay current with knowledge of the online programmesAttend internal workshops to develop and maintain standardsWeekly reporting to the Training HeadMonthly peer review of training delivery based on observation of training sessionsThere are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires. These may be assigned to you as part of your role

What you'll need

Minimum qualification - Matric CertificateExcellent verbal, listening and written communication skillsTraining expertise in the education sector.At least 2 years' work experience as a trainerStrong presentation skills and experience training adults of all ages is desirableExperience of using technology in trainingExperience conducting both face to face and online trainingStrong planning, training and development skillsStrong affinity towards teamworkExcellent record keeping skills and time managementExcellent computer skills and proficiency in Google Slides/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/ Excel, Google Documents/Word, Gmail/Outlook and other communication and project management toolsGood knowledge of current education curriculum (CAPS) in primary school is advantageousKnowledge of e-learning learner programmes is advantageousValid driver's licence and own transport – willingness to drive to rural areas and townships as well as occasionally fly intra-provincially as well as inter-provincially
