Our International Company requires your Financial Costing expertise, managing activity based costing and all finer details for manufacturing projects, communicating / negotiating as the main liaison with Global Key Clients.

This is a new critical commercial function which will form part of the company's succession planning. Opportunity to work across 16 countries worldwide dealing with different languages, cultures & time zones working.

Requirements:

  • Matric, Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong management accountant skills, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior accounting role for a manufacturing business, including prior experience in activitybased costing
  • Excellent project management skills & experience managing complex projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
  • Proven experience in tender management and preparation, demonstrating great attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and deliverables
  • Good practical business and financial decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • IT proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to develop a deep understanding of our product offering
  • Excellent organisational skills to meet goals and set priorities, including the ability to work under pressure and in new environments
  • Ability to deal with operations across the globe in different languages with different cultures and time zones
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally and lead a small team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cost Management:
  • Ensure the upkeep of essential input cost metrics across all production facilities in 16 countries.
  • Validate adherence to Group frameworks for overhead cost allocation across all global operations.
  • Update raw material costs, labour, and overhead recovery rates annually based on approved expense budgets and capacity plans for all production facilities.
  • Quarterly review of performance against the recovery rates, based on actual quarterend results, to evaluate the necessity for recovery rate adjustments.
  • Oversee the preparation of quarterly cost driver schedules, encompassing both macro and local economic impacts, to be presented for:
  • Incorporation into all bi-annual and annual contract price adjustments.
  • Consideration by senior management in Group forecasting.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage RFID and Variable Data programme rollouts, ensuring successful implementation and timely delivery.
  • Manage the development and deployment of new costing modules across the group.
  • Financial Analysis:
  • Ensure tender award pricing is adhered to in respective supply regions, with any deviations falling within specified mandates.
  • Estimate Forward Exchange Contract requirements for RFID inlay purchases on a quarterly basis.
  • General:
  • Lead, manage and provide guidance for a small team dealing with costing and estimating.
  • Coordinating and completing global tenders for apparel retailers.
