Job Purpose

The Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP) partners with the business to execute the Human Resources Strategy, which in turn supports the business to achieve its strategic business goals.

The role is accountable for collaborating with the relevant business Exco members, Senior Leaders, Managers and Employees to proactively identify and address people related needs and matters and to drive a healthy organisational culture.

Formal Qualifications Grade 12 A relevant HR Degree Working Requirements and Knowledge 5 -7 years' experience as an HRBP/HR Generalist HR experience in the financial insurance or financial services environment is preferred Knowledge and understanding of South African Labour Relations and Employment Law Change Management experience Ability to integrate information Facilitation skills Coaching skills Presentation skills Experience working on Success Factors and/or SAP will be advantageous Key Responsibilities Implementing the People Strategy within the relevant businesses, which encompasses Leadership & Culture; Workplace Diversity & Inclusion; Talent & Succession; HR Digitisation and HR processes like Recruitment & Selection, Performance Management, Employee Relations and Learning & Growth Supporting the business by understanding the context within which it operates Supporting the business through varying degrees of change (business and HR related) Provide guidance and advice to all levels of management on people-related matters Partner with line managers to identify needs and opportunities relating to the people and in support of achieving business objectives and managing risks Analyse HR data, identifying trends and reporting on key indicators People management Behavioural Competencies, Skills and attributes Drives Results Collaborates Customer Focus Cultivates Innovation Resilience Personal attributes Building and maintaining relationships Attention to detail Sound planning and organisational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Decision making ability Strong sense of urgency High level of influence and credibility Able to work independently, as well as within a team Ensures accountability Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
