Purpose of Role:


E Squared Investments is seeking a passionate and experienced HCBP to join our team and play a key role in shaping our human resources strategy.

You'll foster a positive and productive work environment while attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to empower responsible entrepreneurs and drive economic development in South Africa.

The HC Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of HC activities within E2.

You will partner with leadership and employees to develop and implement HC policies, programmes, and initiatives that attract, retain, and develop top talent.

You will also ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations.

Objectives of Role:

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive Human Capital strategy aligned with E2's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the talent management process, including recruitment, onboarding, performance achievement, and career development.
  • Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by promoting employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Manage talent relations, including handling grievances and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all labour laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate HR records.
  • Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Manage payroll in collaboration with Shiriki (Shared Services).

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field (master's in industrial psychology degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
