We are looking for a junior salesperson to join our tight-knit team.

In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to spot sales opportunities, develop relationships with potential clients, and manage sales campaigns.

By coordinating events and writing proposals, you will hone your speaking, writing, and leadership abilities while moving our organization closer to its financial


We are looking for someone who believes in our purpose and will demonstrate an exceptional drive to further our existing sales efforts and help strategise and deliver new ones.


Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

Inquiry & Lead Management:_

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service, including company and product information.
  • Qualify, prioritise, and convert leads into sales opportunities.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including all forms of prospecting, coldcalling, referrals, and networking events.

Sales and Market intelligence:_

  • Analyse sales metrics to report to the sales team whether current sales strategies are effective and suggest how they may be adapted.
  • Continuously gather market intelligence, and identify trends and competitor activities to support business development efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Skills Development, Community Education and Enterprise Supplier Development including products, services, and competitors, to effectively educate clients and offer tailored solutions.

Sales and Sales Support:_

  • Generate sales proposals and interact with the client to follow up or request additional information.
  • Contribute to the sales target achievement by creating and maintaining a sales pipeline of small and simple (offtheshelf) deals.
  • Monitor and update the sales pipeline and the CRM (HubSpot) system, ensuring that all information is accurate and uptodate.
  • Perfect the sales tools and sales material in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Occasionally assist in driving the sales process to guarantee a deal's success working with stakeholders to clear technical, administrative, compliance and financial aspects.
  • Ensure major funders and clients are satisfied and kept in the loop.

Requirements:

  • Must be a South African Citizen with a South African ID
  • Two or more years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Social Science or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be very comfortable working in the digital realm, using tools such as Zoom/Teams and/or Microsoft Office, CRMs and other tools etc.
  • Knowledge of the Development and training industry is a plus.
  • Written and spoken English required, African languages or Afrikaans is a plus
  • Be able to work flexibly.
  • Excellent Skills in PowerPoint, word processing tools, and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, Internet, etc.)
  • A passion for research
  • Adept at managing tasks, planning events, and balancing priorities.

  • A degree in any of the following fields:Marketing, Communication, Business, Public Relations, Social Science or related field

  • Market-Related and dependent on experience and qualifications
