Requirements and Skills:
  • - Degree in Business Management, Communications or a related field
  • - 5-7 + years of experience in business development and sales, with at least 3 years in the lending or banking sectors (non-negotiable)
  • - Must possess a personal vehicle and a valid driver's license (non-negotiable)
  • - Excellent conceptual skills with a strong ability to contribute strategically and to align BD and Sales activities with operational priorities, ensuring buy-in from internal stakeholders
  • - Solid background in credit and lending, specifically dealing with SMEs and/or business clients
  • - Proficient in networking, particularly with SMEs and/or business clients
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • - Cultivate and manage relationships with lead providers while overseeing service-level agreements
Business Development
  • - Drive the acquisition of new SME customers and lead generation
  • - Represent the business at public forums, networking events, and other relevant venues as the business's ambassador
  • - Identify opportunities for partnering with new entities such as partners, merchants, networks, banks, and online lending platforms to expand the client base
  • - Maintain and foster new and existing marketing channels
  • - Provide consistent, high-quality support to all referrals and business partners
  • - Foster channel development, both new and existing, to uphold business growth
  • - Collaborate with lead generation and acquisition agencies to achieve SME customer growth and engagement targets
Financial Management
  • - Regularly report on department objectives and the annual calendar
  • - Manage budgets and financial resources for marketing initiatives
  • - Prepare updates, reports, and presentations as needed
Market Research
  • - Offer field-originated market intelligence and feedback on trends, industry demands, and customer preferences to inform marketing initiatives and account development
    Propose new business directions, channels, or products based on research findings to enhance market presence
  • - Monitor competitor activities and respond appropriately when necessary
Sales and Marketing Campaigns
  • - Identify relevant marketing events within the designated area
  • - Assess all marketing campaigns in collaboration with the Marketing department
  • - Analyze trends to enhance the efficiency of marketing efforts
  • - Implement measurement and reporting tools to optimize feedback and outcomes from marketing campaigns
  • - Manage BD, sales, and marketing campaigns within allocated costs, maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
