The Director:
Legal Services has the responsibility for providing legal within the Company.

They contribute to or take the lead on complex client deals, regional legal co-ordination and contribute to the development of regional and global company policies in line with relevant legislation.

They drive compliance to these policies and ensure legal consistency across the Company.

They develop the region's legal strategy and contribute to the development of regional strategic objectives.

They contribute to the executive management of the MEA organization and ensure on a continuous basis that the regional legal organization flexibly reacts and is aligned to current business drivers, organizational initiatives, and regional programmes.


Working at NTT
Manages legal business matters pertaining to the organization. Acts as advisor, or coordinates with external counsel, on legal issues. Prepares documents to support same. Reviews legal data and advises the organization on appropriate legal action to be taken. Directs external counsel performing litigation on the company's behalf. May, but usually does not, get involved with legal matters handled by outside counsel related to personnel matters. Requires a law degree. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This position has subordinate employees.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide Legal Advice

  • This individual provides legal counsel and commercial support to business leaders on all transactions with clients, suppliers, and 3rd parties. This legal advice and commercial support is also provided for internal projects and intercompany agreements.

Contribute to Bids and Proposals

  • The Director:

Legal Services provides legal counsel and commercial support to the Bid Management team on high complexity and large-scale client and/or vendor proposals and transactions.

In so doing, they contribute to and ensure the consistency of commercial, legal and risk management across the organization.

Manage Risk

  • The Director:

Legal Services works closely with the Risk Management and Compliance function to contribute to the revision and advise on the development of company policies and procedures, insurance matters and corporate governance.


Coordinate Legal Activities

  • This individual coordinates and manages material litigation. They ensure adequate visibility of senior management and statutory bodies. They function as liaison on all material litigious matters, disputes, acquisitions, and disposals.

Ensure Relevant Documentation/Reports

  • The Director:
Legal Services ensures that all relevant information regarding legal matters is accurate and kept up to date.

They ensure the documentation of progress against legal activities and provide regular reports on problem status to senior executives and relevant stakeholders.

They ensure the provision of status reports regarding the level of legal risk associated with any given area of the business.


People Management

  • They function as people managers for a group of Legal professionals. They ensure employees reporting to them are engaged and understand their career opportunities, by taking responsibility for the development and training of their direct reports.
  • To enable Legal Services to achieve their objectives, the Director: Legal Services acts as mentor/coach for the senior legal team members.
