  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field with a proven track record of achievements.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with a strong foundation in professional copywriting being highly advantageous.
  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with modern digital technologies.
  • Passion for the arts, particularly opera, is a plus.

  • Spearhead Cape Town Opera's comprehensive marketing endeavors across various print and digital platforms.
  • Develop and implement forward-looking marketing strategies that not only showcase Cape Town Opera's productions and educational programs but also boost ticket sales and enhance box office revenue.
  • Deploy innovative tactics to broaden and diversify the audience base, including targeted outreach programs to schools, elderly care facilities, and other community establishments.
  • Enhance and uphold Cape Town Opera's brand image, ensuring its resonance with diverse local and international audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the publicist to align marketing strategies with public communications for maximum impact.
  • Oversee the website, newsletters, digital marketing channels, press releases, and program reports, ensuring the creation and distribution of engaging visual and written content.
  • Systematically collect and organize data, such as audience metrics and program participation, for reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate promotional events, manage ticketing platforms, and handle ticket-related inquiries effectively.
  • Supervise the use of CRM software, cultivate media relationships, and explore partnerships with arts institutions and sponsors to expand the organization's reach.
  • Monitor marketing budgets, evaluate campaign performance, and lead a team while fostering a collaborative work environment.
