The successful incumbent will ensure timeous analysis and insights on Cost of Goods Sold to support timeous and accurate business decision-making.



Duties:

Preparing General Ledger reconciliations for identified accounts,

Implementing action plans to ensure closure of audit findings and mitigation of further risk to the business.

Uploading collated evidence onto relevant platform
***-
Sourcing and providing information required for the statutory audit process for identified entities in the South African statutory group structure to ensure compliance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and audit controls.

Attending the monthly commodity stock counts to ensure accurate stock reporting.
***:

Attending quarterly full-stock count within region, as a management control requirement, to ensure accurate stock reporting.

Conducting quarterly self-assessment to identify areas of non-compliance relating to management reporting and cost of goods.

Implementing the identified Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) controls to comply with the RACM framework requirements and mitigate financial risk to the business.

Identifying and executing process improvement initiatives for BOM analysis, product costing, raw material analysis etc.

Preparing the BOM budgets for plant

Creating costing runs for updates required at month end due to change in standard prices.

Preparing and performing product cost estimates for ERP (monthly, annual, ad-hoc) as part of maintaining costing on the ERP system.

Analysing and providing insights on price variances to ensure accurate costing across existing ERP systems.

Preparing the Bill of Material (BOM) analysis (month and year to date) versus multiple plans and Prior Year (PY) and providing insightful commentary on the analysis.

Qualification and Experience:***-
BCom Honours degree in Accounting or Financial Management.
***:
-
Certified Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) would be advantageous.
***:

3-5 years of experience in financial management or management accounting.
***:
-
Experience in costing
