JOB ROLE, RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS:

Department / Internal:

Developing departmental budgets

Developing and updating departmental monthly forecasts

Monthly reporting to directors on production targets, supervisors, team leaders and consultants including variance reports

Monthly reporting to directors on production evaluations per client

Strategic planning and department development

Monthly and annual budgeting (income and expenses, tracking and analysis)

Monthly detailed reporting to Management (Weekly / Monthly performance)

Variance/Performance analysis; budget analysis and reporting

Equipment and systems oversight

Personnel:

Recruitment and appointment of new consultants to ensure the growth of the department in line with agreed growth expectations

Monitoring and managing staff performance, including performance management (stringent daily performance)

Setting, monitoring and managing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly targets

Managing monthly salary control sheet including incentives and commissions payable

Monthly agent commission / incentive calculations measured against set targets and performance

Quality assurance control

Leave planning

Attendance management

Disciplinary matters

External:

Managing client relationships

Importing and managing client instructions as per agreed SLA

Reporting to clients as per agreed SLA

Managing and maintaining pay over as per agreed SLA

Developing and managing consultant campaigns in line with client expectations

Client performance management

Legal handovers

Monitoring and ensuring statutory compliance (Legal Practitioner Act; Debt Collectors Act; NCA; POPIA; PAIA; BCEA etc);
Managing and monitoring legal handovers

Managing monthly reporting and allocations

Quality Assurance Control and Management

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Matric or equivalent qualification

Minimum 15 years Collections experience

5 years Collections Management experience (proven track record of successfully mentoring and managing a large team of collectors)

5 years experience setting and managing collections targets and budgets (large team)

High level communication skills (verbal and writing)

Strong management, strategic and analytical skills

Strong computer skills eg. MS Office, Excalibur / Swordfish etc.
