JOB DESCRIPTION


Are you detail-oriented with a strong understanding of South African corporate laws and regulations? We are seeking a skilled statutory and regulatory administrator to join our team.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our company's compliance with statutory requirements. Your responsibilities will include administering various compliance tasks and utilizing your expertise in South African corporate laws and regulations.

Proficiency in software such as the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and GreatSoft will be key to your success in this role.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

  • Matric - Passed with good grades and Mathematics and English on Higher Grade
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field.
  • Professional certification in Company Secretarial Practice or related field.

Experience

  • Experience in Finance and Accounting.
  • Experience with Excel and Microsoft.
  • Experience in Greatsoft, SARS e-filing, CIPC, and Xero Practise Manager will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to billing and accounts receivable.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance principles and practices.
  • Experience working in a corporate secretarial, accounting or legal environment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Company Registration and Compliance:

  • Handle the registration of new companies with CIPC.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed and submitted in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of changes in company registration processes and regulations.

Annual Returns and Filings:

  • Prepare and submit annual returns and other statutory filings to CIPC within the stipulated deadlines.
  • Monitor and track deadlines for annual returns and ensure timely submissions.
  • Handle any queries or issues related to annual filings with CIPC.

Changes in Company Details:

  • Manage changes in company details such as directorship, shareholders, and registered office addresses.
  • Update company records on CIPC and ensure all changes are accurately reflected.

Statutory Registers Maintenance:

  • Maintain statutory registers, including registers of directors, shareholders, and other company records.
  • Ensure all registers are uptodate and compliant with legal requirements.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for CIPCrelated matters.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, legal advisors, and external auditors as required.
  • Communicate updates and changes in statutory requirements to relevant parties within the organization.
