Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Bcom or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Proficient in Ms Excel with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups are essential
  • Experience working on AFYSYS and Standard Bank systems
  • Attention to detail

  • Must work well under pressure and with a team

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with principals for demurrage waivers
  • Issue c/notes to COD and credit customers for waivers
  • Do the principal accounting for credit notes as issued
  • Ensure complete principal reporting for all demurrage on monthly basis
  • Escalate slow paying / nonpaying customers for Letter of demand issuance
  • Reconcile all demurrage control accounts
  • Ensure principal demurrage system and agency demurrage system are tallied and perform necessary reconciliations for same
  • Ensure proper accounting for overstay boxes moved to State Warehouse by issuing credit notes to customers and debiting principals for such costs
