To initiate, plan and achieve Haleon Consumer Healthcare's ambition of becoming one of the most innovative, best performing and trusted Consumer Healthcare Companies in South and Southern Africa.

To plan, direct and coordinate all strategic and marketing activities of their respective brand/ brands, in order to achieve consumption growth, sales, profit and marketing objectives.

Responsible for the development/management of market penetration strategies for the consumer market. Cultivates the knowledge of key customers and competitors. Identifies brand growth opportunities. Interacts closely with sales force to make sure to understand and implement the Product Marketing plan. Job Family Group - Marketing: Markets the organisation's products.

Designs develop and implements communication programs to advertise the organisation's products using media (TV, radio, print, direct mail, digital), events, and sales promotions.

Develops and evaluates pricing strategies and structures.


We are looking for someone who will be responsible to initiate, plan and achieve Haleon a member of the GSK Consumer Healthcare group, ambition of becoming one of the most innovative, best performing, and trusted Consumer Healthcare Companies in South and Southern Africa.

Drives expert recommendation on key brands through the effective selling, detailing and merchandising of Haleon a member of the GSK Consumer Healthcare group, brands to all relevant HCPs (Pharmacists, Pharmacy assistants, Front shop assistants, Clinic sisters) in-line with relevant Haleon a member of the GSK Consumer Healthcare group, Policy & Procedures, and local regulatory & ethical code guidelines.


In this role you will

  • Initiate and implement sales strategies to achieve & exceed corporate sales objectives
  • Grow our brands ahead of the categories in which we compete
  • Detail HCPs in line with "6 Steps of a Call" model and train staff instore (inclusive of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Assistants, Front shop assistants & Clinic Sisters) during planned Lunch & Learn sessions (5 per month)
  • Compliance with customer relationship management tool (e.g. FSFA, Veeva) requirements
  • Effective communication of trained scientific knowledge to drive recommendations and build trust
  • Development and implementation of mutually agreed annual Customer Joint Business Plans with key customers
  • Coordinate the efforts of assigned 3rd Party merchandising agents within Clicks & Dis-Chem or as specified
  • Develop strong customer relations within the identified channels to maximize business opportunities and grow the business
  • Directly responsible for delivering against assigned sales targets by selling, merchandising, and detailing to agreed segmented & targeted customer base
  • Meet coverage criteria of the customer base according to set segmentation and targeting parameters
  • Ensure effective area distribution and supply by maintaining adequate stock cover in all customers
  • Commercial acumen, including pricing and margin analysis
  • Key competitor analysis

_ Requirements _

  • Ideally 2 year's successful experience in Healthcare Sales/Influencing role
  • 3year medical/sciencerelated tertiary degree/diploma or Matric with similar experience
  • Good communication, administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel, outside the province if/when required
  • Knowledge in Wellness, Pain, Multivitamin, Supplements and OTC experience preferred
