The Cloud Consulting & Advisory organization within DPS is chartered with helping clients gain competitive advantage, increase market share and deliver on strategic business outcomes within their industry, by leveraging business value-based methodologies and leading cloud technologies.


The Industry Executive will be responsible for providing deep industry, business, and digital technology expertise to BCX clients, with the aim of defining business strategy and guide business transformation initiatives in alignment with global industry practices.

They will be responsible for driving industry business development, the execution of industry GTM initiatives, and providing industry thought leadership that results in elevating BCX's leadership position in an industry segment.

This role will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Digital Innovation & Technology teams, and will look to providing senior strategic sales cycle support on complex, strategic and value-based client engagements within DPS.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

Client Consulting & Advisory:

Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices, and integrate this into thinking and value propositions to clients
Work closely with clients to identify business/ digital transformation opportunities, and agree on the best approaches to addressing business challenges
Prepares and delivers unique value propositions and industry-led presentations to clients
Prepares proposals for new business, collaborating with other business teams across the BCX organisation
Develop and maintain frameworks for Value Based Management (VBM) in business transformation
Advise clients as well as colleagues regarding industry developments, best practices, trends and strategic opportunities for the future

Business Development Support:

Gather market requirements, and in response develop differentiated solutions and services, as well as enhance existing solutions with defined processes for the future
Promote BCX solution and service offerings externally with press, clients and partners to generate demand
Achieve agreed revenue targets for new as well as existing business
Collaborate with Sales and Technology colleagues to put together proposals for enterprise technology solutions for clients
Monitor solution positioning and outbound messaging including collateral and enable the Sales force with training and battle cards

Research & Analysis:

Gather market intelligence and monitor the offerings and activities of competitors
Review existing solutions portfolio and make recommendations for continuous improvement

Client Service & Product Performance:

Monitor and measure existing customer service performance, technology refresh, optimization and R&D
Manage solution portfolio (description, value proposition, offerings & packages, cost and pricing)

Build and maintain relationships with clients monitoring solution performance and solution lifecycle considerations Core Functional Skills & Knowledge Business Acumen Digital Literacy Management Consulting Design Thinking Impactful Communication Integrated Business Solution Relationship Building Core Behavioural Competencies Job Match Culture Match Persuading and Influencing Relating and Networking Presenting and Communicating information Formulating Strategies & Concepts Adapting & Responding to change Entrepreneurial & Commercial thinking Minimum Qualifications NQF 6: 3 year Degree/ Diploma/ National Diploma in Finance or IT/Engineering OR NQF 4: Grade 12 Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage Master in Business Administration (MBA) Experience

Minimum 8 years' experience, 9 to 12 years' experience preferred.

Track record in Management consulting/ advisory

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Industry of specialization viz Retail/ Financial Services/ Public Sector or Health

Writing proposals and responding to RFPs and storyboarding

Understanding of the specific industry value chain
Or

If the highest qualification is grade 12, 11 years of experience in the above is required, of which at least 3 years on senior management level.
