Purpose


Key responsibilities of this role encompass leading the preparation of HTA submission dossiers, development of pricing strategies and management of price negotiation for the assigned business franchises.

Help delivery on the company's current and future product portfolio as well as supporting all activities to obtain and maintain access, reimbursement and strategic pricing for Organon.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams in assessing and evaluating new opportunities in the market and support product launches/line extensions from an access and pricing perspective.
  • Anticipate and shape dynamics in the external environment that impact market access and reimbursement.
  • Maintain and manage national access for new and existing products by providing and/or negotiating accurate pricing, reimbursement, and information to respective stakeholders.
  • Develop health economics models that establish the costeffectiveness of Organon brands thereby supporting the reimbursement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative pricing and market access strategies of Organon brands (including submissions).
  • Prepare Health Technology Assessment (HTA) reimbursement dossiers for submission with clinical data summaries, comparative effectiveness evidence synthesis and economic modelling.
  • Anticipate and shape future policies in the external environment impacting market access and reimbursement.
  • Prepare tools and supporting materials for negotiations for pricing and reimbursement, viz., payer messaging and brand positioning tool kits.
  • Fosters and develop innovative partnerships with key influencers, academics and decisionmakers including payers and HTA bodies, to facilitate the development of innovative access solutions that are winwin for patients, the broader public health system and Organon.
  • Collaborate and build a network with internal stakeholders and external partners to build on healthcare strategies, solutions, and execution.
  • Monitor the healthcare and political environment and landscape to understand the impact of access to medicines and advise on the best actions to address national, regional, and local threats and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the correct positioning and messaging of Organon products.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis in areas such as demand, competition, and price elasticity to build the case for pricing recommendations.
  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and followon pricingrelated tasks/projects including submissions and approvals, including projects with regional/global colleagues.
  • Prepares PARFs (Price Approval Request Forms in form of business cases) for Global Pricing and discussed Global Pricing, Global Market Access and Global Franchise.
  • Develop and roll out the value and access tools for optimal commercialization of Organon brands.
  • Perform and fulfil KPIs and all other duties assigned professionally and reliably adhere to company policies and good practices.
  • Track all pricing notifications and update respective internal stakeholders on pricing changes.
  • Develop and roll out the value and access tools to support the brand specifically commercial objectives.
  • Builds networks and develops relationships with critical stakeholders within the funder, managed care, pricing and benefit design communities.
  • Maintains strong compliance with all relevant internal policies, compliance, and legal requirements.
  • Develop assumptions of price and economic measures for strategic plans and budgets.
  • Enlist the new products by influencing decisionmakers (consultants), managing company expenditure to promote its product and capitalizing on the support of Sales, Marketing, Medical and other KAMs support at central accounts.
  • Coordinate with the Tender Manager (Tender books, submissions, competitive information, attendance of tender negotiation sessions).

Required Experience and Skills

  • Achieving satisfactory KPIs (call rate frequency, coverage, buying ladder)

  • Deep knowledge of the South African healthcare industry including market trends reimbursement policies, willingness to pay thresholds and other funding
