JOB SUMMARY:

Main Purpose of Position:


The main purpose of a Credit Administrator is to analyze and evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing and clients.

You will consider factors such as income, assets, debts, and other financial obligations to determine whether the client should be granted credit approval


You will be responsible for monitoring the activities of those clients who have been given credit to ensure that they make payments on time and keep up with their end of the bargain.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Credit Administration

  • Reviewing and correcting errors in credit reports to ensure that they are accurate and unbiased
  • Responding to customer service inquiries about account status or payment plans
  • Reviewing and updating client records to ensure that contact information is up to date
  • Reviewing financial statements to ensure that they are accurate and complete
  • Observing existing and new debtors' activities to determine whether the terms of the credit agreement have been met
  • Contacting delinquent debtors to remind them of their payment obligations

Other

  • Verify new Account Applications are from legitimate companies and not fraudulent
  • Assist with the Order Release function taking orders off hold
  • Client account maintenance

Internal training associated with competencies:

  • Adhere to and complete the Company Learning Map issued during the first week of employment to meet the expectation

Minimum Qualification:

  • Grade 1
  • Diploma in Credit Management or in Internal Auditing preferable

Minimum Experience:

  • 23 years of work experience in a Credit Administration role
  • 23 years of Accounts Receivable experience

Minimum Skills:

  • Advanced Level Excel and Strong Administration Skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problemsolving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and nonverbal)
  • Ability to perform in a pressurized and demanding working environment.
  • Critical Thinking

Note:

  • The remuneration package will be discussed during the interviewing process.
  • Follow through with a 3month probation review which will be scheduled by Human Resources monthly.
  • You will be required to perform such duties as reasonably required by the business.

  • You will serve the Company or any Associated Entity in such a capacity as management may reasonably require.
