    Role Purpose
  • Plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of events from conceptualisation to delivery and postevent debriefing and evaluation

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate/ Grade 12 Qualification
  • Diploma in Event Management
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent
years' experience in event coordinating

  • Proven experience as event coordinator or similar role.
  • Experience in Financial Service (desirable)
  • Experience as event coordinator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Wed analytics (Google Adwords etc.)
  • Knowledge of marketing elements (including brand, event and traditional)
  • Events, marketing strategies and campaign knowledge.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to determine event requirements and develop creative brief.
  • Advise and guide stakeholders on creative event ideas, concepts and logistics.
  • Create and manage the annual events calendar by identifying all events for the year.
  • Manage and coordinate the logistics (venue hire, transport, catering etc.) and communications (save the date, invitations, teasers etc.) of events.
  • Manage the service delivery and standards of service providers to ensure the successfully delivery on the event brief.
  • Assist with Identifying, securing and preparing sponsorships, speakers, participants, etc. for specific events in line with the event brief
  • Manage and control the RSVP management and registration of participants.
  • Liaise with various branding, marketing and communications teams to promote the event and manage promotional activities.
  • Provide onsite event support and coordinate staff and service providers to ensure the event runs smoothly.
  • Deliver events within the agreed events budget, time and quality parameters.
  • Track and control event expenses and perform postevent evaluations by producing reports for events stakeholders.
  • Managing marketing merchandise and collateral.
  • Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives.
