The Person:

  • B.Com Finance / Bachelors Degree in HR/Industrial/Organisation/Psychology/Financial Management, or other related field (NQF Level 7).
  • Finance related field of study preference.
  • Min 5 to 8 years Remuneration and Benefits experience.
  • HR Analyst and data mining experience an advantage.
  • Proficient in HR technologies including experience in HRIS and Payroll system.
  • SAP experience an advantage.
  • SARA Registration advantageous.
  • GRP advantageous.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement

The Job:

Report to the Head of HR:

  • Oversee and manage the Groups reward strategy, e.g. responsible for planning, implementing, and reviewing the rewards packages (healthcare or childcare schemes, pensions, stock, shares, company cars and more).
  • Take ownership for reward processes including salary reviews, bonus allocation, job grading and harmonisation, ensuring regular salary and benefits benchmarking and surveying activity.
  • Provide insights and advice into reward and benefits that would position the company as a competitive "employer of choice"
  • Provide an advisory function to Stakeholders, Executives and Directors with regards to trends, changes and recommendations with regards to reward & benefits
  • Responsible for data management and integrity on all reward information.
  • Adept with research on best practice and provision of data to continuously critique and update the reward strategy.
  • Perform annual market survey submissions and external benchmarks to ensure packages are competitive.
  • Benchmark roles to market and draft/update employment contracts. Make recommendations on existing reward strategy to support retention strategies
  • Contribute to the review and management of 3rd party suppliers including pension, healthcare and insurance providers.
  • Responsible for processing of the Bonus Share Incentive Scheme and liaising with the Trust to ensure alignment on governance principles.
  • Manage all HR polices to ensure good governance is maintained across the Group.
  • Support on the management of the company's pensions and postretirement medical aid (model updates).
  • Communicate and manage internal and external stakeholder with regards to benefits and payments.
  • Accurate processing of all reward calendar items on an annual basis.
  • Ensure all reward tools are current (update estimate calculators in line with the tax year update, create purchase requisitions).
  • Annual Statutory Submission: EEA2&EEA4 and COIDA.
  • Timeous monthend payroll processing and preparation of reward reports.
  • Ensure compliance with reward processes, including data processing.
