Our Client is putting out feelers for an operations support whizz to join our team. This person should be experienced at juggling tasks, be organised and caring, and have exceptional communication skills.

The company is a collective that works across areas of social urgency from health and financial inclusion to early childhood development, questions of inequality and responses to the climate crisis.

We work across geographies, with roots in South Africa.

We also work across a range of clients:
global agency, philanthropy, non-profit, large for-profit, start-up, forpurpose and government.

Responsibilities:

This role is primarily in service of the Companhy's collective. The Company is a non-hierarchical environment, and as such, many operational activities are done or managed by the company.

However, we've realised a need for deeper operational support that can ensure the consulting team are freed up to do their work.

This role will see you interfacing with all of the Clients team over the course of your employment, on activities such as:

  • Supporting our financial operations: billing, invoicing, expense claims
  • Ensuring our Cape Town office functions optimally, allowing our team to do their best work
  • Coordination of travel and events for the company
  • Diary management and coordination for the collective
  • Contracting with clients and stakeholders
  • Supporting our people operations: recruitment process management, onboarding and offboarding team members, contracting
  • Identifying, implementing and documenting operational processes and procedures
  • Supporting in the maintenance and updating of a central knowledge base and being a point of contact for queries from the broader team
  • Any additional administrative and operational tasks required by the Company

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Google Suite and Microsoft Office expertise, and general techsavviness (experience with Slack and Notion would be an advantage, but by no means essential)
  • Solutions oriented accompanied by strong decisionmaking ability

  • Ability to work to a deadline and give regular feedback on progress
  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated
