Qualifications, experience and requirements:

Minimum Requirement

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a natural science field.
  • At least threeyear practical experience in environmental consulting.
  • Registration with EAPASA
  • Registration with SACNASP or potential to register within six months of appointment.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans.
  • Valid passport.
  • Valid yellow fever card.
  • Driver's licence.

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of South African environmental legislation.
  • Competence in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and legislative requirements.
  • Proven record in conducting at least three environmental authorisations.
  • Experience conducting environmental and social impact assessments using the World Bank and IFC guidelines.
  • Well organised, able to plan, prioritise and coordinate.
  • The ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication, reportwriting, and presentation skills.
  • Above average working knowledge of MS Office suite.
