- Flood Line Calculations: Analyze data to predict flood lines and develop strategies to mitigate flood risks.
- Stormwater Management Plans: Compile and implement plans to manage stormwater runoff and prevent environmental damage.
- Surface Water Impact Studies: Conduct studies to assess the impact of human activities on surface water systems.
- Report Writing and Presentation: Develop and present written reports and presentations to stakeholders on findings and recommendations.
- Water Properties Estimation: Estimate water properties such as volume and mass.
- Technique Development: Develop techniques to improve water quantity and quality.
- Environmental Impact Analysis: Analyze the environmental impact of erosion, droughts, and floods.
- Prediction and Monitoring: Predict floods, droughts, and snowstorms, and monitor pollution levels in rivers and streams.
- Data Analysis: Run computer-aided models to analyze data and develop recommendations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineers and scientists, and present findings to managers and policymakers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, with a Master's degree highly advantageous.
- Registration: Registration with EAPASA or SPNA desirable.
- Skills: Notable experience as a hydrologist, working knowledge of GIS and GPS applications, hands-on experience running hydrological models, and efficiency in writing reports and giving presentations.
