To cascade and implement the BCX Leadership Development Strategy by developing leadership programmes, in collaboration with senior leaders, capability owners and BU's, that will build a strong leadership pipeline to fully unlock BCX's envisaged strategy and propel the organisation into the future.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development / Talent Management teams and design a Leadership academy that aims to build the needed/ critical leadership skills among BCX leaders, through the implementation of Leadership programmes and other interventions that support the business strategy.
  • Monitor market trends and research/ benchmark Leadership Development practices and processes, to determine the effectiveness of current leadership interventions, competency framework designs and succession management; make needed improvements to ensure continuous alignment between the Leadership Development Strategy and overarching BCX business strategy.
  • Take full ownership of all BCX Leadership Development practices and the implementation of Coaching & Mentoring Programmes, providing BUs with the needed expertise in assessment, design and delivery, measurement, and evaluation of interventions, to empower leaders in managing their career development, in line with BCX and international leadership benchmark standards.
  • Understand leader personas across BCX and identify critical and scarce skills by conducting gap analyses across BCX BUs to develop leadership solutions through various HR value chain mechanisms (i.e., Performance Management, Assessments, PDPs, Talent Management, Workplace Skills Plan, Career Profiles and Skills Taxonomies).
  • Provide consultative services, specialist advice and insights relating to career management, succession planning and leadership progression across BUs, to promote informed leadership development decision making.
  • Provide thought leadership, direction, and input into the BCX Leadership Capabilities and Skills Development Strategies to assess the impact of coaching among leaders and ensure harmonisation with L&D curricula, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the Organisational Effectiveness, Learning and Development, and Talent Acquisition teams to review, design and implement cultural and Leadership transformation interventions that will support BCX's Talent Development strategy.
  • Drive the change and communication plan and take full ownership of the endtoend reporting of the Leadership Learning Impact and Skills Transformation journey to keep all BCX internal and external stakeholders informed of the latest performance statistics and positionings, in comparison to local and international leadership benchmarks.
  • Oversee and manage the gathering, evaluation and tracking of Leadership; Talent analytics and associated insights, across all facets of Leadership Development and Talent Management, to optimise Leadership Development and Talent Management policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee the consolidation of Leadership Development and Talent Management dashboards, metrics and KPI's for tracking and actioning purposes.


Minimum 7 Years' experience in a Leadership Development, Leadership Acceleration, Talent Acquisition or Talent Management environment, within a large organisation, of which at least 2 years is on Specialist level.

Or

If the highest qualification is grade 12, Minimum 9 Years' experience in a Leadership Development, Leadership Acceleration, Talent Acquisition or Talent Management environment, within a large organisation, of which at least 2 years is on management level.
