Essential Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Preparation and analysis of income sheets.
  • Conducting cashups to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Managing petty cash, which includes tracking all withdrawals, and card purchases, and reconciling cash and card payments.

Staff Management

  • Approving rosters and overseeing staff scheduling to meet operational needs.
  • Managing the entire staffing process, which includes hiring, conducting interviews, handling training sessions, managing takeon documents, and ensuring staff documentation is up to date.

Inventory and Stock Control

  • Maintaining optimal stock levels to meet the demands of the business.
  • Engaging in stock orders, following up on account payments, ensuring timely stock delivery, and adjusting stock based on recipe changes and production planning.

Supplier and Service Management

  • Sourcing the cheapest suppliers for all ingredients and updating the cost matrix accordingly.
  • Managing relationships with service providers, including obtaining quotes, arranging work times and permits, following up on payments, and sourcing necessary equipment and materials.

Brand and Standards Maintenance

  • Upholding brand standards across all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints to regain customer loyalty, which involves making contact with the customer, understanding the nature of the complaint, and isolating and fixing issues.

Facilities and Equipment Maintenance

  • Overseeing the maintenance of the restaurant's facilities and equipment, including repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensuring the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations, including obtaining and renewing C.O.A / Trade licenses.

Human Resources and Compliance

  • Handling human resources responsibilities such as issuing warnings, conducting disciplinary actions and hearings, managing retrenchments and dismissals, and overseeing contracts.
  • Managing payroll and tracking employee hours to ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensuring the restaurants are prepared for routine operations and special events through meticulous planning and coordination.
  • Leading by example to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
  • Any other relevant assignments as designated by senior management.
