We are looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist to ensure our business operations meet the regulatory requirements and governance obligations.


Are you someone who can:

  • Build sound relationships based on trust and openness and escalate delays timeously to expedite engagement execution that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buyin to compliance.
  • Engage in crossfunctional relationships to obtain and to provide work support to business partners/stakeholders
  • Collect and interrogate information and feedback to ensure full understanding of stakeholder needs to deliver a quality service
  • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability by ensuring or assisting with implementation of relevant policies, governance, and practice standards across the business.
  • Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements.
  • Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks.
  • Implement, monitor, and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and governance requirements by efficiently and effectively conducting planned compliance reviews in accordance with the approved coverage plan, within allotted time frames and in line with the Monitoring Operating Procedures (Produce consistently highquality outputs within agreed deadlines)
  • Build and execute engagement test procedures for regulatory key controls.
  • Conduct fieldwork including performing walkthroughs, sample testing and validation of potential issues.
  • Draft reports which include rationale for findings, detailed root cause analysis, risks posed, and action required to address the identified risks.
  • Use of data analytics and scripts during testing to create efficiencies and create continuous monitoring opportunities.
  • Ensure development and continuous value add improvement to operational processes by reviewing existing processes and suggesting innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive
  • Efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
  • Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards.
  • Bachelor's degree (in a businessrelated discipline, Legal, Compliance or Auditing)
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance, or related field will be advantageous.
  • Have 3 to 5 years of experience in a Compliance, Regulatory, or similar environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Privacy Legislation, Consumer Protection legislation Competition Law, Human Capital legislation
