The positions is based in Durbanville, Cape Town.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The HR Officer's main responsibility is to align, implement, manage and facilitate HR activities including policies, practices and procedures that will support the functioning of the departments and the company aligned with the strategic goals and best practices.


Most importantly, your main responsibility is to ensure that all labour legislative requirements are met to alleviate the company from any possible risk.

You will also be tasked with driving company culture aligned with business vision.

DUTIES

  • The main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Legislative compliance (i.e., BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, OHSA).
  • Talent acquisition.
  • Onboarding.
  • Performance management.
  • Leave Management.
  • Remuneration & benefits.
  • Recordkeeping & statistics.
  • Organisational development.
  • Dispute investigation and resolution.
  • Industrial relations.
  • Health and Safety Management.
  • Monthly payroll.
  • WSP/ATR submissions.
  • COVID management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric/grade 1
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in a similar position, preferably gained in a fastpaced environment.
  • Solid understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • At least three to five years' Sage VIP and payroll processing experience.
  • Degree in human resources management or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, BCEA, and LRA.
