AfriCamps is looking for a Finance and HR administrator with a passion for both numbers and people.

AfriCamps is a rapidly growing glamping company with 3 to 4 new camps opening every year in different areas around South Africa.

AfriCamps is involved on all levels, from the production and installation of the tents to the marketing and reservations for the different camps.


Responsibilities
You will be responsible for all daily finances and administration, as well as HR tasks.

Finance and administration tasks

  • Payments: ensure all payments are made on time, working in conjunction with the Finance Director and supported by managers from the various departments
  • Xero Accounting System: use the online finance system, Xero, to record all financial information:
  • process all billing,
- process reconciliations
- facilitate budget tracking

  • Financial Reporting.

Assisting the Finance Director and accountants to produce:
- monthly VAT returns
- monthly Budget report
- monthly Shareholder report

  • Insurance administration: manage policy renewals, additions and claims
  • Supplier forms: complete supplier forms for various departments
  • Internal & external liaison with:
  • the Finance Director and other colleagues, including supporting their client relationships with finance-related processes and information
- bank(s)
- liaison with Accountants for payroll etc

  • Assisting with other administrative tasks if necessary.

Human Resources tasks

  • Create and sign new contracts and starter forms for new employees
  • Keep contract templates up to date and up de spec (according to the labour law, supported by outsourced HR consultants)
  • Introduce new staff to the company (manual, introduction to the team)
  • Assisting with all HR documentation upon hiring and termination of staff
  • Administration of staff leave, sick leave, and holidays
  • Has a minimum two years' accounting experience with a financial diploma
  • Is well organised, analytical, and has problemsolving abilities
  • Can work independently, is curious and techsavvy
  • Has previous experience working in Xero
  • Can travel to Table View/Cape Farms area
  • Is proficient in English
  • Is a South African citizen
