The role of Leisure Sales Managers is to support the Sales team in leisure sales activities, focusing on selling to the hotel's leisure market. Emphasis will be on building a strategy and maintaining relationships within this market.

Key Areas of Results
  • Researches, establishes, and assists in writing the Sales Plan for all areas within each property in the group
  • Develops relationships with major clients and establishes new clients for the properties within the group
  • Produces necessary reports for the Head of Sales and/or Management
  • Ensures research aligns with Group policies and procedures
  • Keeps records of client progress and follows the "Chase System"

Organizational Relationships
  • Liaises with Heads of Department, especially:
  • General Managers (when necessary)
  • Front Office Managers
  • Reservations
  • Food & Beverage Management Team
  • Executive Housekeeper (when necessary)
  • Banqueting Departments
  • Revenue Team

Responsibilities
  • Sales Administration
  • Ensure all account correspondence is updated in files
  • Undertake research following standards and competitor market intelligence
  • Build relationships with key contacts in the leisure sector
  • Visit potential clients to sell property facilities
  • Assist in FAM/Sales Trips/site inspections planning and hosting
  • Attend trade exhibitions/workshops
  • Complete required reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Account Management
  • Maintain a consistent sales call plan per week
  • Understand clients' booking trends and preferences
  • Have face-to-face meetings with key influencers and bookers
  • Grow list of account contacts for better penetration
  • Develop profiles for key influencers and decision-makers
  • Grade clients for the database

Business Development
  • Work with the Head of Sales to identify top competitors' accounts
  • Collect potential sales leads from various departments
  • Be aware of key selling points of properties within the group
  • Attend all necessary meetings
  • Develop and present a sales strategy for leisure markets
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Sales Director

Performance Standards & Assessment
  • Achieve targets for sales volumes and key performance indicators
  • Meet/exceed hotel/property revenue budgets
  • Maintain quality administration and records
  • Ensure Sales & Marketing expenses align with budget guidelines

Skills & Knowledge
  • ** Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales position, preferably in the hospitality industry
