Summary:
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to enhance our clients' Dealer Network in Africa and attain sales goals for specific districts of the company.

Position Information:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate must have prior experience overseeing the operation of a dealership (or multiple dealerships), while taking responsibility for achieving targets. It's essential to be capable of remotely supervising a Dealership team and establishing profitable goals. The perfect candidate blends outstanding communication skills with a strategic approach.

Ultimately, the candidate will guarantee that their area of responsibility not only meets but exceeds our business objectives' expectations, contributing to the company's long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales within the Company's Africa dealer network in the region
  • Generate reports and analysis relevant to sales activity in the region
  • Forecast quarterly and annual target budgets
  • Report on regional sales outcomes
  • Create regional sales plans and targets aligning with business objectives
  • Supervise the order process, including order planning between the dealer network and OEMs
  • Oversee the product line up, new model introduction, model placement within markets, and manage pricing in collaboration with marketing and finance departments
  • Participate in sales-related budget processes and target setting, ensuring marketing functions align to support sales
  • Ensure sales training is provided in the region and complies with all OEM training requirements
  • Conduct regular in-country dealer visits
  • Support Dealer Network operations
  • Develop new Dealership staff
  • Evaluate Dealership and individual performances
  • Review dealership sales performance vs. targets
  • Perform dealership audits
  • Assess the dealership's C.S.I figures
  • Analyze market share and performance vs. competitors
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies/processes within dealerships
  • Implement action plans to enhance sales volumes
  • Ensure correct model mix
  • Prepare and review annual budgets for the area of responsibility
  • Analyze regional market trends, explore growth opportunities
  • Address potential issues and suggest timely solutions
  • Participate in decisions regarding expansion or business plans for new Dealers
  • Propose new services/products, innovative sales techniques to boost customer satisfaction
  • Check aging stock, ensure action plans are in place
  • Assist with case studies, prospecting, acquiring new dealers for the East Africa region
  • Develop and implement used car programs in various markets
  • Reconcile sales and market data

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, Dealer Development, or similar senior sales role
  • Matric
  • Postgraduate business-related qualification advantageous
  • Valid driver's license

Skills:

  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Familiarity with CRM software
  • Understanding of Dealer operations
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance Dealer Network
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving approach
  • Availability to travel as required
