Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for As the Regional Learning and Development Manager you will provide a key interface between country management teams and HQ L&D to embed a strategic and progressive, best practice approach to L&D in the Region.

Working in partnership with managers and employees, you will provide professional, customer focused L&D advice and solutions that support and build organisational and people capabilities.

The Human Resources and Learning and Development department is focused on delivering the AHK people strategy:

'Design, Implement, support and continuously improve simple, high quality, global people systems, processes and ways of working'

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Required Competencies

  • Understand the potential of L&D to add value, and L&D best practice including the importance of aligning L&D with business needs
  • Strong learning needs analysis and research skills
  • Flexibility and pragmatism and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Experience in designing and project managing blended and integrated learning solutions concepts, principles, practice and thought leadership
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present clear, wellstructured reports and briefs
  • Experience of building effective relationships with internal customers and external providers to enable the delivery of fitforpurpose, cost effective solutions
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with mínimal supervision

Required Work Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of:
- working in a complex L&D function at manager level or equivalent
- managing projects and delivering successful outcomes
- developing innovative approaches to complex problems
- developing and implementing group-sponsored development programmes, e.g. e-learning systems, development planning etc (desirable)

  • Knows what 'good' looks like in a progressive commercial L&D environment (desirable)

Required Qualifications

  • Education: BA / BSc Degree in HR preferred but not essential
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 Qualification (desirable).

Languages

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Fluency in another language is beneficial, preferably French or Portuguese (desired),
