Job Description
Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of Composites, Coatings and Dispersions in Africa, with over 120 years of rich history. The business enjoys a diverse product offering of unsaturated polyester resins, solvent-borne resins, dispersions, and additives.
They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join their team and grow their business.  Reporting to the Commercial Director (Polymers) and collaborating with peers, you will be instrumental in establishing new sales opportunities. Your role will involve identifying new business growth opportunities and building a strong customer base through exceptional service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish new business opportunities that bring sustainable EBIT growth.
  • Develop a marketing plan.
  • Establish a sales pipeline with a focus on customer conversion through value added selling techniques.
  • Service existing customers where required and resolve account queries.
  • Stay updated on the industry, market and competitor trends and developments.
  • Exceed sales targets and provide regular sales reports.
  • Engage the support of the internal office when necessary, so as not to delay the collections process.


RequirementsExperience:
  • Relevant business operations qualification (e.g., BCom).
  • Technical degree (e.g., BSc. Chemistry or BSc. Chemical Engineering).
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in specialty chemicals, particularly Polymers that find application in several industry sectors which include water treatment and construction. 
Skills:
  • Business acumen with strong financial expertise.
  • Proven sales track record with excellent lead generation and conversion skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with hazardous chemicals and safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as and when required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

Requirements
