Client Project Coordinator

As a Client Project Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the smooth running of client projects. You will ensure that each project is completed in line with expectations and within the agreed budget. Your main responsibilities will include: - Managing ad hoc reporting on projects (including tracking all time spent by individuals) - Scheduling, planning, and administration across multiple projects to help reduce overlap between teams and improve communication across departments
Requirements
To provide administrative, document, and process support to project managers.
To perform administrative tasks in the following project management areas: planning, execution, monitoring and control, and the closure of a project.
To manage and execute tasks that require coordination, relevant to the project and to follow up on tasks and actions that project resources are responsible for that create dependencies for others and for the overall progress.
Assist with the preparation of financial reporting date needed for Steering Committee meeting packs and project reporting and ensure that base data is available and accurate
Meeting minute taking
Document preparation
Project RAID logs preparation and maintenance
Problem-solving
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Web Technologies
Professional and proficient communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work successfully within a team
Assist the project team with tasks where needed
Demonstrate innovative methods of getting cooperation out of the team
Learn continuously, as this is the platform to move into project management
Qualifications
Grade 12 Senior Certificate (Matric)
IT certification recommended, preferably one that includes Project Management
Preferably experience as a Project Administrator for 1 - 2 years.
Experience in IT-related or systems-related work for at least 1 year
Demonstrate good soft skills – conflict resolution, communication, business language, and professionalism in all written communication (email, etc.)
Knowledge of Project Methodology.
Knowledge of the role of the PMO.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolset - MS word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Project
Knowledge of IT development
The Project Administrator should be able to:
• Interact with technical resources and project managers
• Build strong relationships
• Work in a team environment
• Interact well with management and colleagues
• Communicate excellently (written and verbal communication)
• Successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions
• Demonstrate attention to detail
