Hire Resolve's client, a well-established construction company in Durbanville, is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their team. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a vital role in supporting the estimating team in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Assist with tender submissions.
  • Package RFQs (Requests for Quotations).
  • Compile comprehensive BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
  • Measure and create BOQs from drawings.
  • Attend site clarification meetings for tenders and provide feedback to Senior Management.
  • Follow up on RFQs sent to Sub-Contractors to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Build relationships with Sub-Contractors and Suppliers to secure the best market prices.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • BTech in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
    • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar built environment.
    • Proficiency in Candy (CCS – Construction Computer Software) and MS Office.
    • Valid Driver’s License and own transport.
  • Preferred Competencies:
    • Excellent planning, organizing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and focus on deliverables.
    • A motivated self-starter with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
    • Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a demanding environment.
