Job Description
OurProgramme Management capabilityis core to delivering on Tutuwa’s strategic objectives/intent, which is expressed through our 6 strategic levers (Innovation, Proven Practice, Thought Leadership, Lead Practice Discovery, Blended Funding Models and Systemic Influence); widely important goals (WIGs) and strategic goals. It constitutes at least 70% of where Tutuwa’s energy goes in any given year. This is largely due to the nature of how the organisation construct has been set-up so far. We have since inception been a funding organisation and achieving our strategic objectives through the NPOs we choose to fund within our 3 core thematic areas – Early Childhood Development (ECD) , Schooling and Post-Schooling .
In addition to funding other organisations as implementation partners in delivering on our WIGs and strategic goals, we have decided to also champion a Signature/Flagship initiative that we will lead internally as a Foundation focusing on contributing towards solving the youth NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) crisis in South Africa.
A Programme Manager is required for overall coordination and implementation of programme/s that are in line with the youth NEETs objective and/or Post-Schooling thematic area; developing plans and budgets for the relevant thematic area/s; identifying strategic partners, including but not limited to partner research, due diligence and site visits; and monitoring & evaluation of programmes, contracted partner outcomes/goals, proactively manage non-performance and raise issues and risks proactively amongst other things.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science/Management/Business Commerce Any other diploma in so far as it relates to community development programmes, Evaluation Studies and CSI - advantageousExperience Required
4-6 years’ experience in Programme Management or Community Development is essential, preferably in Post-Schooling and/or youth NEETs space and skills development. Experience in implementing partner monitoring and evaluation processes. Experience in developing partner proposals and soliciting stakeholder buy-in. Good research and report-writing skills. 1-2 years’ experience in Project Management for general projects and or events.
