Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to take on the role of Organizer for their Agriculture, Creative Handicrafts, and Dairy Committees.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory position where organization and co-ordination were main functions
  • Excellent administrative skill
  • Computer literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Accpac and Canva (advantage)
  • Excellent organizing and structured skills
  • Good interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination and organization of breed societies for different categories (classifications, access, biosecurity, stable fees), as well as organization of the cattle interbreed competition
  • Organization of the annual dairy product competition (class lists, entries, physical assessment, prize distribution)
  • Organization of the annual creative craft competition (class lists, entries, physical assessment, prize distribution – 21 divisions)
  • Administrative tasks – minutes of the Trust, Finance and Council meetings
  • Detail of the tasks and the summary job description attached

General information that applies:

  • Working hours 08:00-16:00 (no meal)
  • Overtime in the month before and during the event
  • Leave – 21 working days per year (10-13 days are kept for compulsory leave mid-Dec to mid-Jan)
  • Sick leave 36 paid working days over 36 months of continuous service
  • Performance bonus in July depending on the year's profits and staff member's performance
