As the Africa Field Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading the programs and initiatives to raise awareness, acquire new business opportunities, develop customers, and grow our user community in the region. You will work with the local direct sales team on scalable marketing activities, support in creating a sales pipeline, and boost awareness and consideration of our cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns targeting both private and public sector organizations from a Named account list in Africa.
  • Source Qualified Sales Opportunities (QSOs) & pipeline for African Named Account List through demand & partner programs.
  • Track and measure marketing campaign results to ensure goals are being met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the campaign are executed effectively.
  • Lift Mindshare by improving Africa NAL leadership perception & consideration of our cloud solutions.
  • Adopt or adapt relevant global and regional campaigns to the local market using customer and regional insights.
  • Champion DEI and African Culture. Build a community of belonging and customer empathy and build inclusion into our marketing processes and output.
  • Develop and secure buy-in for the marketing strategy for our cloud solutions in South Africa.
  • Manage customer acquisition and pipeline generation programs such as events, digital campaigns, account-based marketing programs, etc.
  • Effectively position our products and solutions amongst our target customers. Build awareness and consideration programs that improve mindshare of our cloud solutions.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.
  • Grow awareness, familiarity, and perception for our cloud solutions amongst analysts and other influencer organizations.

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience within marketing (5-7 years).
  • Experience with planning and executing marketing programs and budget management.
  • Experience in B2B technology marketing.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience marketing technical products including enterprise software purchase, development, and implementation cycles.
  • Experience with or understanding of CIO, ITDM, and Developer audiences.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce.com or similar) and Marketing Automation tools (Marketo or similar) to assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects.
  • Self-starter who can set plans and complete projects with limited supervision and capacity to show initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills in both business and technical situations.
  • MBA degree from a competitive program.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in marketing, specifically in B2B technology marketing.
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing programs and budget management.
  • Experience in marketing technical products, including enterprise software purchase, development, and implementation cycles.
