Job Description

Anticipated Contract Length/End Date: 6 months with potential to extend.

Our client in the technology industry is seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join their team.

What you will do:

  • Lead the communication activities of the brand refresh.
  • Maintain content calendar and coordinate blog input from across companies.
  • Social listening and monitor of news cycle for companies.
  • Repurposing and promotion of case study content across channels – sales, media, social where possible.
  • Guide appropriate customer and partner communications.
  • Identify external speaking opportunities and events for companies.
  • External Relations strategy, alignment and integration of PR and social programs.
  • Increase consistency across External Relations (press releases, focus on coverage) for companies.
  • Focused engagement with top-tier journalists and influencers.
  • Development of external communications collateral (Press Releases, Media Pitches, Key Messages, Social content, FAQ).
  • Community management of social media handles for companies.
  • Monitoring of key messages and impact across media.
  • Support and development of customer stories across all formats (written, video)
  • Executive Social Media Strategy (Focus on LinkedIn).
  • Supporting virtual and in-person group events such as town halls and leadership forum.
  • Measurement and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using various communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing software, and content management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread and edit content.
  • Experience in creating and implementing communication strategies and campaigns.
  • Ability to analyse data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts.
  • Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
