Objective of the job:

The key purpose of the role is to eliminate or where unavoidable, mitigate any risk to the operational business by ensuring a high level of Parts Logistics Warehouse IT Systems cyber security and availability in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

Main Task

Eliminate the risk of, or where unavoidable, minimise the risk of MBSA Parts Logistics Warehouse IT systems downtime. To support and apply known solutions and fixes for bugs, software releases, UAT, updates and enhancements. Additionally, to provide expert subject matter knowledge for effective management and risk mitigation for all core Logistical IT systems. To pro-actively inform the Parts Logistics Centre Management team where IT systems availability threatens the daily business and risks operational and reputational damage for various topics including reporting and data analysis.  Understand, own and implement specialist knowledge in the role of Operational Technology (OT) Security Expert and learn and understand IT system landscape, interfaces, and hardware between internal and external 3rd party systems for managing thereof.  To provide both system and business training to MBSA Parts Logistics & other users outside own area of responsibility, including monitoring and managing system integrity to identify any issues & resolve and be responsible for the management of System User Access Rights.

Deputy BISO Responsibilities

Supports MBSA appointed BISO specifically on parts logistics topics. The focus of the Deputy BISO role is to share knowledge about information security requirements with the information owner within the scope of responsibility and to provide reports about the status of these information security requirements. Conduct revenue and inventory management audits in conjunction with PWC and other auditors including system/business process descriptions and explanations.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

Expert knowledge of Logistics IT systems.  Understanding of logistics supply chain and the significance of service KPI’s.  Demonstrate a full understanding of the impact of Logistics IT systems in the operational workplace. Ability to work out solutions and deliver results. Excellent interpersonal / communication skills with the confidence to present when required.  Understanding of data flow within and between systems. Understanding of database structures.

Experience:

 NQF L7 - Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma
