Logistics IT Systems Operations Specialist

About the Job:

The key objective of this role is to mitigate operational risks by ensuring high-level cyber security and availability of Parts Logistics Warehouse IT Systems in compliance with Mercedes-Benz Integrity & Anti-Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy, and SHE requirements. The role involves delegated SHE tasks and duties, as well as informing superiors about deviations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate or minimize the risk of MBSA Parts Logistics Warehouse IT systems downtime by implementing known solutions, fixes, and software releases.
  • Provide expert subject matter knowledge for effective management and risk mitigation of core logistical IT systems.
  • Inform the Parts Logistics Centre Management team about IT systems availability threats to the daily business and operational reputational damage.
  • Understand, own, and implement specialist knowledge in Operational Technology (OT) Security Expert and learn IT system landscape, interfaces, and hardware between internal and external 3rd-party systems.
  • Provide system and business training to MBSA Parts Logistics and other users, monitoring and managing system integrity, and resolving issues.

Deputy BISO Responsibilities:

  • Support MBSA appointed BISO on parts logistics topics, sharing knowledge about information security requirements, and providing reports on the status of these requirements.
  • Conduct revenue and inventory management audits in conjunction with PWC and other auditors, including system/business process descriptions and explanations.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Logistics IT systems.
  • Understanding of logistics supply chain and service KPIs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of Logistics IT systems in the operational workplace.
  • Ability to work out solutions and deliver results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to present.
  • Understanding of data flow within and between systems.
  • Understanding of database structures.

Qualifications:

  • BCOM Logistics Degree.
  • Recognized certificate/degree in Logistics IT systems.
