An established and fast-growing medium-sized audit, accounting, and consulting firm is seeking to employ an accomplished audit professional to the position of Audit Senior or Audit Supervisor. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced and ambitious professional to join a practice with excellent growth potential situated in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. They have offices in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, Winelands, Swartland, and Tswane.

 

The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA articles and be motivated to remain in assurance. AGA(SA) or CA(SA) eligible or registered candidates will have an advantage, though ambitious and talented individuals still en route to this designation will also be considered. There is also the option of completing a Registered Auditor (RA) mentorship with them.

 

This firm of Chartered Accountants (SA) and Registered Auditors offers a variety of services to continuously look for cost-effective, value-added solutions to their client’s business needs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produce client reports (AFS, Minutes, Certificates, Management letters, etc.)
  • Propose and finalize audit opinions.
  • Audit assignment budget planning and management.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of performance in relation to the budget.
  • Conduct audit fieldwork, full audit file reviews, and related reports to ensure the relevant files are ready for sign-off.
  • Perform tax return reviews.
  • Manage resourcing and plotting of staff members on audit engagements.
  • Work allocations as required by individual audit assignments.
  • Ensure audit planning documentation is completed.
  • Approve time-sheets.
  • Perform billings and manage WIP.
  • Performance management of junior staff members including, continuously providing feedback.
  • Provide technical assistance to junior staff members (where required).
  • Maintain excellent client relationships.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • AGA(SA), CA(SA) is not required but a distinct advantage.
  • BAccounting degree or similar.
  • Completed SAICA articles.
  • 3+ years’ audit experience.
  • Experience with CaseWare, Pastel, and SAGE One.

 

Remuneration:

  • R360,000 to R480,000 pa, depending on experience.
