Job Description
Our client, a major entity in the South African aviation sector, responsible for the management and operation of the country's primary airports, is looking for a skilled Senior Procurement Buyer to join their team and drive excellence in our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the RFX process is executed within the parameters of supplier contract terms.
  • Organise and coordinate the negotiation process within Delegated levels.
  • Ensure timely conclusion of the contracting / purchase order process.
  • Support the tender management process. Confidential
  • Work closely with Business owner/stores to make sure deliveries are planned and routed in accordance with business requirements.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on relevant supplier performance.
  • Identify, analyse and mitigate SCM related risks
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and applicable prescripts.
  • Ensure compliance with CIBD and National Treasury legislation guidelines
  • Ensure adherence to approved legislation and transformation imperatives.
  • Implement BBBEE strategies to ensure required targets are met.
  • Integrate small black businesses within the supplier base.
  • Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
  • Provide an on-the-job guidance and supporting role to Buyers.
  • Deliver cost benefits in line with approved savings methodology.
  • Participate in the Procurement planning process, coordinate and lead functional projects.
  • Compile, submit and present various reports


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience in working closely with business units to ensure alignment between procurement activities and business requirements.
