Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company located in the Eastern Cape. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be instrumental in managing and controlling costs for construction projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for various construction projects.
  • Monitoring project expenditures and providing financial reporting to ensure compliance with budgets.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to manage project scope and costs effectively.
  • Preparing and analyzing tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Managing the procurement of materials and subcontractors to ensure value for money.
  • Assisting in contract negotiations and preparing final accounts for projects.
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing financial risks associated with construction projects.
  • Conducting site visits to evaluate progress and ensure alignment with project specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in estimating and quantity surveying software, such as CCS, CostX, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A proven track record of managing project budgets and timelines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
