The ideal candidate should have a Grade 12 qualification or equivalent, along with successfully completed NQF 2/3 Production Technology. Knowledge of HACCP Plan for glass and Bib filling - ISOPH02, as well as familiarity with CCPs including Glass Particles, Integrity Testing, Ozone Treatment, and Chemical Residue, are essential. REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Successfully completed NQF 2/3 Production technology
  • Knowledge of HACCP Plan for glass and Bib filling - ISOPH02

DUTIES:
 
  1. Operating Activities
 
De-palletizing:
  • Pre-inspects pallets of incoming bottles (virgin bottles) according to standard operating procedures and specifications
  • Packs virgin bottles carefully onto conveyer belt, ensuring limited glass breakages
  • Records glass breakages and any glass defects (non-conformances)
  • Disposes virgin bottles that do not meet standard specifications into disposal bin
 
Palletizing:
  • Ensure pallets are well wrapped according to standard operating procedures with good stretch and limited carton damage
  • Ensures correct pallet identification is applied and marked on QC documents and according to the Pallet Configuration Form
  • Identifies potential problem areas and informs the QC and the Shift Supervisor of non-conformances or potential non-conformances
 
  1. Quality Management System
 
  • Ensures all production records are completed as per quality control record pack
  • Adheres to QMS standards and procedures
  • Follows QMS protocol as described by QMS procedures
  • Adheres to the set GMP protocol
  • Attends training courses when required
 
  1. Health, Safety and Housekeeping
 
  • Checks CCPs including Glass Particles, Integrity Testing, Ozone Treatment, Chemical Residue
  • Ensures HACCP principles are adhered to and participates in annual HACCP training
  • Adheres to protective clothing policy
  • Adheres to company and statutory Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Works closely with the safety representative to ensure adherence to safe work practices
  • Ensures that all equipment, tools etc. provided by the employer are safe and well maintained
  • Ensures housekeeping is kept in order and meets required standards and all areas of responsibility are clean and neat
HOURS:
  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 – 17:00
