An exciting contract position has become available for a BUSINESS ANALYST to join the technology department of one of our leading clients in the banking sector. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
 

Job Title:                                            Business Analyst
Employment Type:                           6 Months – Hybrid Employment Contract, (Renewable)   

 

JOB PURPOSE:

The Business Analyst facilitates business and cross‐competency teams to understand, analyze and document relevant business functions and business requirements in completing tasks related to business solution planning, documenting, and managing customer requirements.

The work of the BA also includes process analysis; business process and requirements modelling and analysis. The role works with business stakeholders, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, System Architects, System Analysts, Developers and Project Management to develop and implement business solutions on within the company group environment.
 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE:

1.  Roles and responsibilities of a BA in the squad/value stream:
  • As-is and to be business process analysis.
  • Elicitation, documentation, and analysis of business requirements, resulting in compilation of BRDs or user stories. This spans functional, non-functional, data, information requirements etc.
  • Socialization of solution requirements with business audiences, architecture, and tech audiences to obtain buy-in at various levels of the organization.
  • Support people change management endeavors such as development of adoption strategies, end-user training etc.,.
  • Support development and testing efforts to ensure that requirements are implementation as specified.
  • Manage traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project management in the identification and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Partner with development teams and architecture to ensure cross-disciplinary collaboration and solution delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • B-degree in Commerce or Science (Honours is advantageous).
  • End -to-end experience in large scale implementation projects i.e., full SDLC
  • Experience in digital channels is a must e.g., mobile banking
  • Minimum 10 years business analysis experience.
  • Experience is agile delivery is a must.
  • Banking or broader financial services industry experience.
  • System analysis expertise is highly advantageous.
  • Business analysis qualification (from an IIBA endorsed training provider).
  • Experience in process design, requirements modelling, and customer journey mapping coupled with an ability to synthesize data and information to inform product design and design thinking.

PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:
  • Will be agreed based on qualifications, applicable banking experience and previous earnings.
