Job Summary

The E-commerce Assistant will support online sales efforts by handling various tasks across different departments. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working across multiple teams to ensure the smooth operation of the e-commerce function.

Responsibilities

Product & Merchandising Assistance

  • Buying: Identify & evaluate new product and supplier opportunities to expand the product offering in line with overall business & marketing strategies.
  • Supplier Management: Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate favourable supplier terms to ensure ONO remains highly competitive and differentiated in the market.
  • Product Management: Source product assets from suppliers to create, update and maintain product listings ensuring accurate descriptions, images, pricing & categorisation while adhering to SEO best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and analyse inventory & sales data to accurately forecast orders, manage costs and maintain competitive pricing.
  • Admin: Handle supplier accounts, collections, deliveries, stocktake, resolve stock issues and courier claims.
  • Product Promotions: Support product launches and select stock for deals and promotions.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Analyse product, category, and supplier performance to inform strategy, set targets and measure growth objectives.
  • Trends & Research: Conduct product & market research to select the best product mix for ONO's target market and forecast trends to keep ONO at the forefront of the adult wellness revolution.

Marketing Assistance

  • Responsible for uploading and scheduling content/campaigns, banners, newsletters, blogs, ensuring 100% accuracy:
    • Email Campaigns: Assist in the creation and distribution of email newsletters, promotions, and other marketing materials.
    • SEO & Content: Optimise product pages for SEO and help create content that drives traffic to site.
    • Social Media: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote products, sales, and special events on various platforms by sourcing/briefing required creative in adherence with brand strategy and CI. Incentivising and increasing user-generated content through engaging competitions, giveaways or brand partnerships.
  • Strategy: Assist with planning, developing and implementing the marketing and social media strategies and maintaining the social media calendar for (but not limited to) Instagram & Facebook.
  • Reporting: Reporting on and monitoring site and channel performance. Setting metrics and targets alongside the E-commerce Manager in order to measure results and growth objectives.
  • Collaboration: Liaising with creative and marketing resources and agencies, identifying media and collab partners on a regular basis.

Operations Assistance

  • Customer Service: Provide assistance to the CS team to resolve product, courier and customer queries to facilitate prompt order processing, returns, refunds and exchanges.
  • Warehouse Admin: Ensure that all consumables remain fully stocked and supplied at the agreed quality.

IT & Website Assistance

  • Website Maintenance: Assist with maintaining and updating the eCommerce website and resolving technical issues such as broken links, payment gateway problems, or site downtime.
  • Tool Integration: Help integrate new tools and technologies into the e-commerce platform to enhance functionality.

Requirements, skills, and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in e-commerce or a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Strong copywriting and communication skills with basic photo editing skills are non-negotiable.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite and e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram and inventory management software).
  • Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and digital marketing is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, organise, and prioritise work with keen attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Highly analytical. 
  • Quick learner who welcomes constructive feedback.
  • Good design eye.
