• Drive, coordinate and report to the Senior Director: Compliance on the Issues Management Program across TransUnion Africa and provide business with program support. 
• Participate in compliance related system and operations development projects.
• Develop and implement compliance self-assessments/audits across business units and regions.
• Collaborate with the Legal, Privacy, Data Governance and Corporate Investigations teams on all joint or related matters.
• Establish and monitor red flag indicators and metrics for compliance risks.
• Ensure systems are in place to detect compliance violations in high-risk, transactional activities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of business unit processes and other controls that exist to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and global best practice (Compliance Risk Assessment and Control Validation Activities).
• Monitor business unit conduct (e.g. for violations of applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures). 
• Regularly report to Compliance leadership on all compliance risks and related matters. 
• Compile and submit compliance-related reports to the various regulators as and when required.
 

Impact You'll Make:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, pre-law or law, risk management or related field Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of integrity and professional ethics. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software. Business acumen gained from a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a compliance related field. This position must be able to explain situations and their implications to all levels of the organisation that may be affected by them.  Ability to write formal policies and procedures as well as routine reports and correspondence.. Proven experience in developing and implementing processes and procedures in a compliance-related field. Experience in enterprise risk management or internal audit is an advantage. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
