We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Officer/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. If you're a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you

Tasks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents in a timely manner
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers and clients
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Prepare financial reports, summaries, and analyses as required
  • Assist with year-end financial audits and tax filings
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper, or similar role
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus
