Purpose of the Role The purpose of the role is to independently manage, plan, direct, and coordinate the functions of the firm to ensure best practices are implemented. The incumbent will be responsible for producing high-quality audit work, driving service excellence, growing revenue streams, and delivering top-quality client service while leading and developing a professional team. Academic Qualifications Required Registered Auditor Chartered Accountant – CA(SA) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role within an audit firm Experience & Competencies Experience: Proven track record managing audit engagements from planning to completion Extensive knowledge of audit methodologies, IFRS, ISA and regulatory frameworks Strong client relationship management experience Business development exposure and proven ability to grow revenue Staff supervision, coaching and performance management Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and report-writing ability Commercial awareness and strategic thinking Ability to manage deadlines under pressure High levels of integrity, professionalism and accountability Strong leadership skills Key Duties and Responsibilities 1. Producing Quality Work Oversee audit planning, execution and reporting in accordance with IRBA standards Ensure accurate and compliant audit documentation Conduct technical reviews and ensure audit quality control 2. Delivering Service Manage client expectations and deliver high-quality professional service Identify client needs and provide strategic recommendations Build and maintain strong client relationships 3. Growing Fees Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients Contribute to business development strategies Prepare proposals and participate in client pitches 4. Leading and Enabling People Lead, mentor and develop junior audit staff Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching Create a collaborative, high-performance team environment Behavioural Competencies Leadership & Team Management Client Focus and Service Delivery Critical Thinking & Decision-Making Business Acumen Results Driven Professional Ethics & Independence Remuneration Market related, based on qualifications and experience.
