Our client, a major player in the road freight and logistics industry, is seeking to employ a New Business Development Consultant to their team based in Goodwood, Cape Town. Requirements: Matric Certificate. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sector. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Valid driver’s license and own vehicle. Willingness to travel as required. Responsibilities, but not limited to: Lead Generation: Identify potential clients in target markets through thorough research and effective networking. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve established targets. Conduct cold calls, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce available services. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the onboarding process. Understand client needs in order to provide customized logistics solutions. Sales Strategy and Execution: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts that align with organizational objectives. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Provide feedback to management regarding market conditions and customer preferences. Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system. Ensure full compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
