Quality Engineer (Quality Department Automotive Industry) Pinetown KZN Key Responsibilities Conduct product and process inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform root cause analysis for defects, implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain and improve quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, checklists). Support internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits, regulatory audits). Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues. Monitor KPIs and generate quality performance reports. Train employees on quality standards and best practices. Lead or support continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma). Minimum Requirements Diploma/Degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment (depending on the role level). Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949 if automotive). Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems. Familiarity with tools such as FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, and 8D reporting. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills and ability to work across departments.
